Lucky + Lovely

Let’s face it, we have all been there. A bridesmaid. Bridesmaids are your besties, who knows you better than your girls. They will be there with you every step of the way. It’s a big job. They are gift loaders, hand holders, shower throwers, emergency kit bringers, direction givers and they were around before you snagged the guy. Here are a few tips to pamper your maids right up to the big day.

1. Pop the question: I love these fun cards I found on etsy or use a creative DIY to pop the big question and ask the girls to stand up with you.

2. Dress Code: We have all personality and style. Let the girls show their stuff. Of course, you choose your color palette, but why not let the girls choose their dress style or shape. There are tons of great options for bridesmaid dresses at David’s Bridal that will add just the pop of pizzazz to your day.

3. Give thanks: Show you appreciate their efforts and support. A gift is considered proper etiquette for members of your wedding party. Get creative and make it part of the outfit. I found tons of gorgeous clutch bags on etsy or another fun idea is to treat everyone to a girl’s spa day complete with bubbly and treatments.

March madness is finally over, thank goodness! I have just popped in to share some images of my Styling workshop last month, taken by the lovely Erin Brauer of Something Pretty Photography. I am so lucky to have wonderful friends, Tish from Elegant Event Sitters graciously hosted us in her sun filled studio, the always smiling Mao of Four Inch Fold provided us with farm tables and mismatched seating. I pulled out some grandma vases and my fav stock and ranunculus for a little floral touch. We snacked on Sonoma chicken salad sandwiches (a whole foods recipe), chips and chocolate chip cookies and sipped white sangria (delish) while we crafted. As you can see we had a wonderful time, crafting, chatting and getting to know each other. I think some future friendships and creative partnerships were formed that day! I do hope to see you at my next workshop coming up in May, just in time for Mother’s Day. Flower me lovely is open for registration now. Use the code “FLOWERMEGUEST” for a $35 ticket. xxooo

Ombre. Fringe. Geometric. Sparkle. This is what keeps me up at night. Inside my head is a constant running list of ideas, things to look up, things to design or look for for the Style Me Lovely workshop this Sunday. After I nailed down the design direction, I felt so relieved that I could focus my ideas and projects around one theme. Well, actually sort of four themes. So happy to share with you all. Atlanta lovelies, it is not too late for you to join us.

I have been swimming in ideas for my “Style me Lovely Workshop” and I have finalized the concept along with some of the decor. Now to finalize the projects. I have so many I want to do with you that I can’t narrow it down. On to today’s post.  There are so many beautiful design resources on the internet already. No need to reinvent the wheel. But frequently what I hear from readers is that they don’t know how to use them. At the workshop, I will be showing you how to work with printables. I will be armed with my printer, a regular old HP photosmart printer, nothing fancy! Never fear, I will turn you into a stylist yet!

These lovelies are provided by the talented designer of Benign Objects.

How much do I love this girly glittery glam Valentine’s Day girl’s night in featured on Glitter Guide? Glitter Guide is the go-to blog for how to live a fabulous life with sparkle. This party comes complete with downloads and a sweet video of  how to spend the day of love partying and chatting with your girls. They made sure no girly glam detail was left out. I love the color palette of the hot pink and red (2 of my favorite colors) and I adore the pink sparkly cocktail and the pink popcorn. There is so much girly goodness in this party that I can’t get enough. Too cute! Besides, who better to love you anyway? Girls are always there for each other. I know my girls are there for me. In fact this would make a super cute bridal shower too. xo

I just can’t get enough of these bright, colorful, ethereal poms. They look sweet layered together, stuck on a wall, strung across a tent or made into a huge garland. I love them tiny, small, bright, pastel or metallic. I have made literally thousands of poms for events and I never get tired of how they look. Stuck on how to make paper poms for your event? Learn how at my stylish workshop. I promise, it will be tons of fun!
